Today’s Saturday Matinee is actually Seth Godin‘s Q&A from a 99u conference presentation. So there are a number of questions addressed here. But today I want to focus on the question asked at the 10-second mark. “How do you finish?” That is, how do you get to a point where you commit to finishing a book, then actually finish it. The whole video is worth watching, but if you’re short on time, jump to 10:00 and watch through 12:45.
Take-aways
- Decide at the beginning the milestones for finishing or abandoning
- Don’t “thrash” forever (i.e. keep working on something so that it never releases)
- Get over the fear of being wrong
