“We all want to be the best. And if you want to be the best, it takes everything you have.” ~ Doug Menuez
Last month I posted “Act 1” of my short film documentary series about commercial photographer Doug Menuez. In this episode Doug shares his thoughts and wisdom about making it in this business. In his charming and affable way, he dishes some hard medicine about being a success. He also shares a sobering story about a friend and mentor whose first overseas assignment was Jim Jones’ Jonestown. The harrowing result of that trip was a wake-up call to Doug about the seriousness of this business.

Ron, I just can’t access the video!
Don’t know what’s going on Sarah. Perhaps it’s a firewall issue on your end?
Love this series guys. Thanks for sharing. Well done.
Thanks Trevor. Doug is a treasure trove of information and wisdom. Do a search for my podcast interview with him. It’s one of my faves.
Great stuff from Doug, he has a good grasp on what it takes to be a photographer today and brings so much experience to the table! Another recent Doug sighting online:

Hi Liam,
We’ll get to it. 🙂 I’m hoping to have it come out later this month or early next month. It’s a little different than the first two.
