I’m one of those die-hard tech geeks that always looks for ways to utilize the latest technologies to improve my service and efficiency. For that reason, I a huge proponent of cloud-based technologies. I’ll reach for my computer to watch a movie on Netflix or Amazon Prime way before pulling out the DVD collection. Heck, even if I own the DVD, if the movie is on Netflix, I’ll watch it there.
And everything in today’s zeitgeist shows that the world is going that way too. Netflix. Hulu. Amazon Instant Video. HBO Now. iTunes. Vimeo on Demand. YouTube. I could go on and on about all services providing online and/or digital delivery of all kinds of video and movie content. It’s the reason why one of my top 5 bold predictions of 2015 was the death of wedding DVDs. One of the companies I highlighted in that prediction post was MediaZilla, a company that creates an online Blu-ray/DVD viewing experience.
Yet, heaven knows there are still those hold-outs that just won’t let physical media go by the way side. My guess it’s primarily among the wedding and event crowd where this sort of 2000’s thinking is still prevalent. That’s why I think it’s smart that MediaZilla is creating a really cool service to bridge the gap between the old and the new. With the click of a few buttons, you will be able to create both an online DVD/Blu-ray menu style viewing experience, AND an actual physical DVD or Blu-ray.

What say you? Is this a service you could see using with your clients? Why or why not?
[Editor’s note: I have not been paid or compensated for this post, nor is MediaZilla a sponsor of anything I do. I just really dig the tech and the service.]
