Ogilvy Cleverly Leverages Silly YouTube Videos to Promote a Cause

A few years ago advertising powerhouse Ogilvy & Mather was charged with creating a video to help bring awareness to the illegal poaching and killing of rare African rhinos. Knowing that most people are too busy (or think they’re too busy) to take time to watch a PSA, but aren’t too busy to watch stupid YouTube videos, they did something both clever and controversial. Today’s Saturday Matinee says it all. What do you think about their solution?
