While the name might have changed, these are still the same great weekly music picks for you to enjoy. This week, it’s all about the electronic magic!
This Week’s Picks
No Longer The Damaged One – by Ars Sonor (CC-BY-SA)
This song definitely reminds me of a scene where the vampires are all meeting in a club. Surely you have seen that movie too?? Its about the darkness and the mystery surrounding all your characters with flashes of brilliant light to showcase their features. I think its a great song for build up right before the action breaks out.
The Return of Greatness by SK (CC-BY)
I like to think that this song applies to this song mixtape. No longer are we just the Saturday picks. Now we are the Monday Morning Music Picks!! All about having some fun and enjoying the tunes, like this one where its all about the beat. I might be better for a commercial about sports or some kind of athletic venture than a regular film but if you can use it, more power to you! For me it would be all about the athlete who lives in the city and gets up every day at 4 am to begin their training. Show off that it’s all about the dedication and hard work.
Trident by The FreeHarmonic Orchestra (CC-BY)
I feel like this could work for a trip title sequence for a web series. It has a lot of potential because of the 80’s-like synth and then the guitar rifts. The song does seem to repeat a little after the first break and the synthesizer is the main focal point. But I think it has just enough character and likability to be used in any number of types of productions.
Pangolin by Maxim Kornyshev (CC-BY-SA)
I like to think of this as a mash-up between Daft Punk’s work on Tron Legacy and a video game. Its got a killer beat but there are times you feel like you are trying to find the hidden treasure on an underground level…..which I guess if you like, then this totally works for you!
Enter the Tesla Machine by Tri-Tachyon (CC-BY)
I wanted to end the mix on a badass song. It instantly gets your blood pumping, with the guitars and the beats. I think this is great for introducing a dark character who is doing good (a la John Wick). It’s also great for your own personal workout music choice 😉
