In our quest to get more friends, more followers, more circles, more retweets, more, more, more, we drive ourselves crazy. We tie our self-worth to the Friend or Fan count on our Facebook page. We check back to our Hootsuite or other Twitter management program to see if, who and how many times our last tweet was retweeted. (Okay. I guess I’m the only one who does this). This whole social media craze must be on the brain today because best-selling author and social media guru Seth Godin even blogged about it today (a must read if you get the chance).
But the piece de resistance is a video my church of all places put out today as part of a series they’re doing on “Culture Shapers.” Technology plays a huge roll in what shapes our culture and this hilarious video is an excellent satire on our never ending quest for more!
But I’m sure none of you can relate. It’s just me.
