Wow. Thanks for the kind words Carl, esp. coming from a fellow podcaster. 🙂

Ron, you just made my 2011 so far! That is AWESOME news! Funny Carl already responded because you two have been the source of my inspiration for my business. I would listen to the Podcasts on the drive to & from my day job.. then I would come home and my wife & I would relisten to them together and get all fired up! Very exciting news! The only thing that would top this is if you wrote another chapter in your book Refocus Ron! 🙂

Ron,
I’ve been following your show for some time. Question: What does the term “crossing the 180” mean? It sounds like it is going beyond a particular barrier or rule. What does it refer to? Thanks in advance!
Richard
Ron Dawson says
Hi Richard. Thanks for listening. “Crossing the 180” refers to crossing the 180 degree line. It has to deal with maintaining the proper eyeline between two or more actors so that the audience is not disoriented. I named my podcast “Crossing the 180” because it’s a podcast that “breaks all the rules.”
You can read about the 180 degree line in this blog post of mine: http://bladeronner.com/2010/11/03/the-two-180s-of-filmmaking-part-1-dont-cross-the-line/
Thanks again for listening and reading.
