Where in the world is Crossing the 180 today? Well, today we head to the capital of the Czech Republic, Prague. As we continue our series on foreign filmmakers, Adad Warda. Adad is actually a transplant to Prague by way of the San Francisco Bay Area. After re-locating there with a business partner in 2008, he never looked back. I have him on the show today because he’s working on a magnificent project that I think holds so much promise for the future of online content creation. It’s an interactive book and video series called “Sky City Haya,” an eclectic mix of film noir intrigue, and sci-fi wonder. You won’t want to miss this episode.
In addition to learning about the making of this fascinating project, Adad shares his career path, his inspiration, and some ins and outs of working with crowd-sourcing site Kickstarter. Also on the show is Adad’s conceptual designer for “Sky City Haya,” Clementine Amiraux sharing her thoughts on the interactive e-book series. Lastly, Adad makes an astute observation about the movie “Inception” that has never been made before on the show.
Bumper music for this show is “Tater City” by Glenn Shambroom, part of the TRUE ROMANCE collection, courtesy of Triple Scoop Music.
