My three guests today need no introduction. If you’ve done even a modicum of research in the field of DSLR filmmaking, you know who these guys are. Patrick Moreau, Kevin Shahinian and Joe Simon are names practically synonymous with the craft. And today on Crossing the 180 we have all three of them at once. They are the DSLR 3 Amigos and in anticipation of their Event Cinema Workshop coming this fall, they have agreed to come under fire (so to speak) and answer a wide variety of questions about the business. Yesterday we collected questions from the world wide web. With your questions, combined with a few selected questions of my own, we cover the gamut. Stealing/copying work. Inspiration. Education. Film school. No film school. Their toughest challenges. And so much more. Two whole hours in total. Today is part 1. Part 2 is coming…well, you’ll just have to listen to the podcast to find out.
As I mentioned yesterday, in order to get today’s episode, you have to subscribe to our iTunes link. Trust me. The value these three pour out will be well worth it. Also, you are GOING to want to hear part 2. That’s all I’m going to say about that.
(Note: the episode was uploaded 5:55 pm EST. Depending on how soon after that time it is, the episode may not have yet propagated through to iTunes. Be patient and check back later if you don’t see it.)
