Episode 20
I’m excited to bring back to life, a labor of love, Crossing the 180: The Filmmakers Podcast that Breaks the Rules. It’s been about 8 or 9 months since the last episode with Jon Houser. So, I wanted the first day back to be a great interview. We have Joshual Weigel, writer/director of “The Butterfly Circus,” winner of last year’s Doorpost Film Festival and soon to be a feature film. The movie is a period piece set during the Great Depression, and stars motivational speaker, Nick Vujicic, a man with no arms or legs. Despite the amazing production values of this film (shot on the RED with a $100,000 budget), the reason it has garnered millions of views online is because of it’s powerful story. Today we hear how it came to pass.
