I hope in my next life I can come back as a filmmaker, maybe a race car drive or both. I make crappy videos and have fun doing it. I learned FCP6 with help from blogers, Youtubers and by trial and error. When watching Vimeo or You Tube, the quality of work teenagers are putting out constantly amazes me. I agree with you when you say “It is no secret that more and more people are looking to tell their stories” when more and more young people (and old guys like me) buy into FCPX the more and more Mac’s Apple sell. I will bet a good number of the “future professionals” will already be on that consumer escalator not only using FCPX but also buying up the new shinny Mac.

I am no Apple fan boy but I am a loyal customer when it comes to their computers and I can say 99% of that comes from making videos. This summer I will be spending a ridiculous amount of money on a new Mac and upgrading to FCPX so I can keep making crappy videos and have fun doing it.
